More about Account Management position

The Account Manager is the person in charge of managing a company's relationships with its customers. They are in charge of building long-term relationships with a group of customers and generally stay with customers for the length of their relationship with the company. Account Management generally are hired with an experience of 6-7 years.

Key responsibilities of Account Management are as follows

  • Generate sales among client accounts, including upsetting and cross-selling
  • Operates as the point of contact for assigned customers
  • Develops and maintains long-term relationships with accounts
  • Makes sure clients receive requested products and services in a timely fashion
  • Communicates client needs and demands to employer company

Minimum qualification for a Account Management are

  • BA/BS Degree
  • Ability to Communicate Client Needs with Staff
  • Communication Skills


Major skillset required to be a successful Account Management are Client-Focused Solutions Experience, Project Management Skills,Ability to Manage Multiple Projects and Relationships Simultaneously,Negotiation Skills, Listening Skills
